Establishing an ongoing relationship with my Audiologist has significantly helped to manage my particular hearing loss. At the hearing check I was referred to a hearservice Audiologist for a comprehensive assessment to examine my hearing. The hearservice Audiologist conducted the assessment and was extremely thorough. The Audiologist recommended further testing was needed for my particular hearing loss. After testing was complete, the hearservice Audiologist recommended that I use hearing aids. I have had two sets of hearing aids since 1996. I am currently using my second pair which allows me to easily adjust the aid for different listening situations. For example, I use the third program with the telecoil feature when speaking on the telephone. Without my hearing aids, I can’t hear a thing. I don’t how people can live without them. After I was fitted with my hearing aids I received a free rehabilitation session which gave me tips on how to communicate in situations I find difficult such as in a group, at a distance and over the telephone. The hearservice Audiologist informed me of telephones with adjustable volume and flashing light. I now have two of these telephones in my home. The same Audiologist has assisted me for 11 years. My hearservice Audiologist is understanding, helpful and listens to my concerns. I wouldn’t trust anyone else. |
